And...action!
Basics of acting

You want to re-awaken your long lost play instinct, explore your hidden sense of rhythm, train your sense of spatial and body perception? You want to discover what's inside of you? Don't be shy!

In this course you will get to know each other through games and activities. Subsequently, we will attend to basic elements of acting: Body - Voice - Improvisation - Space. We will explore them very practically and with all our senses.

Improvisation
Improvisation

One part of my interest focuses on theatre, the other on life. I have always tried to train people to be good at both. Maybe that's an Utopia, but I wish the student to be lively in life and an artist on stage. (Jacques Lecoq)

Playing and acting puts us into new situations and challenges and opens us up for them. That is especially the case with improv theatre. Like life it is full of surprises. If we shut down, we freeze. If we gently open instead, we might be touched by something. Something melts in us, starts flowing and carries us along.

Caution notice: Warning of outburts of laughter!

Improv theatre workshops can comprise only a couple of hours up to regular (e.g. weekly) meetings.

Participatory creation of theatre plays

We will meet regularly over an extended period of time. Issues that move you will be elicited by means of  improvisations, creative writing and image theatre. You will go on an imaginary journey and create a theatre play together.
