You are dealing with social, political and/or interpersonell issues? And you are feeling stuck on some level?

Transformative theatre can be a great and fun way to go deep. A group of people or a community that poses pressing social or political issues and wants to work on them theatrically is a living organism that is constantly developing and getting to know itself better in the process. Theatre - as a universal language of the body, senses, emotions and space - can be utilized to give a Gestalt to something unspoken or a new perspective on something familiar. In that way, blockages can be emphatically seen, integrated and moved through.

A public performance in the shape of a Forum* can mark the end of a joint theatre process. This is not a must. Whether there will be a performance and in which context (public, only within your organization/community or internally in the group of participants) is up to you. We will agree on it in advance. I am open for your needs and ideas regarding the focus of the theatre project. Where does your shoe pinch?

 

​*Forum: The play ends in conflict. After the performance, the audience is invited to enter into a dialogue offering different, more healthy ways of dealing with the conflict. The play will be shown again. At this time, people from the audience can intervene, go on stage, exchange performers and try other ways of dealing with the problems. Those interventions can transform the conflicts of the play. Forum theatre is a socio-political practice that can be applied in a wide range of participatory group processes. It is based on the applied theatrical approaches of Theatre for Living by David Diamond and has its origins in Augusto Boal's Theater of the Oppressed (TO).

Apart from transformative theatre (or Theatre for Living), I offer improv theatre workshops, basics-in-acting classes, participatory play creations and playwrite. Bringing people together and initiating creative exchange is my biggest joy.
